Dice must have read the fake guide to receiving a Steam award: 'Labor of Love':
- Release broken game in alpha state with less content than any BF at release before
- Make sure to ignore the most glaring issues like broken mouse support
- Release patches regularly but take extra care to break more things that you fix
- Do NOT playtest any of the patches you release and try to include some fan favorite bugs like the inability of the player to look left/right
- Release only the amount of content that meets the bare minimum requirements to prevent you from getting sued
- Ignore the most requested features like server browser or persistent servers that the VAST majority of your players ask for
- Mock your player base by calling the most fundamental things like a scoreboard 'legacy features'
- ... etc.
Honestly, the only way Dice could get a reward in this category if they were the ONLY contender -- and even then it is not clear they could win.
