@TTZ_Dipsy Well if it pans out I'll definitely be buying any future EA games through Steam if available because of the potential extended refund policy when a game flops real bad so they could gain more customers that way. I've always bought through Origin but definitely won't next time now.
It's really in Origins best interest to match Steams offer right now because why would you buy the same product from a vendor that offers less of a 'warranty' period than a different vedor?
If Steam pull this off and Origin doesn't follow suit then Steam will come out of this looking like a massive Hero.
- @RipGroove99 Damn, Last game i heard them doing this to was No Mans Sky and look at how badly that game flopped, All the hype just like BF, and now its rarely even mentioned, If BF dont get their grip then this might be following in the same path as No Mans Sky
This begs the question “ does steam know something we don’t”
- @emerson1975 They probably realize that it doesn't make sense to make a quick buck but lose customers in the long run. It makes more sense to look after your customers so they continue being customers into the future.
- @Johnathan123YT Actually, No Mans Sky became a huge success afterwards with a lot of updates. It wasn't a flop.
Also, you forgot about New World, they did the same there, too.- @Kyosji Yeah it might be a big success, But what im referring to is the massive build up of hype, to then flop, Yeah it might be a success now, But already a lot of its playerbase already got the hell away from it, and even now you barely hear about it
