So it appears that Steam have decided to offer refunds for 2042 owners who have passed the 2 hour playtime cutoff, so now's your chance to recoup your cash from this blackhole. It's going to be i...
@Johnathan123YT Look, there might be a progression enabled but separate from ONLINE achievements. In CO-OP players might have all weapons, gadgets, even specialists unlocked to test everything out. Devs might also create a separate progression system in SOLO/CO-OP so players have some incentive to test out SOLO/CO-OP for additional achievements. Also, any bot killed online could be counted as SOLO progression level.
I'm partially in some sense a competitive player, I used to play against/on guys who actually won prizes in ESL tournaments. I even modified the server that used to be nr 1 according to the game tracker in 2012 (BF2). I`m not boasting about anything, I believe there is some experience that might be presented. Not having a "legacy scoreboard" or some level of Infantry-focused maps or areas at the map is just wrong at least in my biased opinion. Beating online bots is good for the young generation or newcomers learning the game mechanics (if there are any mechanics left except for holding a fire button and forward key). I only wish for the game to stay as M for Mature, not Manipulieren. Even BF2 has maps huge and pretty desert-like in expansions, but in new BF most of the maps feel almost like EL-Alamein (hardware limitations perhaps). Maps were also scaled down in order to make more interesting gameplay in previous BFs and even devs mentioned that many times.
Without at least a server browser in multiplayer, players will have to predominantly play on bots at certain hours, eg early in the morning.
Dedicated servers, anything that would resemble solutions from BF4 would instantly fix a tremendous number of the recent game design.
I`m not surprised that people are leaving. I wanted so hard to play, most of my mates played max 3 hours and came to a simple conclusion - wait for updates or another BF that has "paper, stone, scissors" mechanic with classes and maps built in a similar manner as in previous BFs.
