It's based on the original Caspian Border from Battlefield 3 The wall was a feature added with the Battlefield 4 version of the map.
The direction they have taken the game is nothing at all like previous battlefields. Even if the seasoned BF Devs left DICE and this was coded by newbies they had to take their direction from DICE management.
Has anyone at EA or DICE explained why they more or less abandoned the legacy of the Battlefield franchise?
