I think the fact we have specialists makes the weapon restrictions difficult if not impossible to balance properly. I think this is the classical "painted yourself into a corner".
I'm honestly not sure how I'd feel about that as I enjoy the freedom of being able to use whatever weapon I like. Perhaps if there were some all-class weapons available to choose from it'd be alright (we'd need more guns though).
Nope. The gadget restriction has already ruined the game. If they limited weapons to each class it would kill the game.
The game was dead at launch. That's why it's a free game now, at least on PS Plus. They're making improvements, but it'll take a lot of fixes to get the game where it needs to be. Giving all the weapons to any class is like turning on God Mode which is no fun. FPS games that have classes with clearly defined roles like BF1 and BF4 are better.
