Since BFV one can put a marker even when they are in a downed state. @UP_Hawxxeye 100% agree although while playing with friends we've noticed several times (not all the time, just fairly often) where it doesn't seem to show on other people's screens, even squad mates.

Whole heartedly agree! I do this a lot. We should also point out in said tutorial to LOOK FOR YOUR TEAM MATE DOING THIS...as I said, I do this quite a bit and my team will just rush in trying to revive (sometimes 🙂 ) and get railed by the same guy because they weren't paying attention.

Yup, been doing this for a while now. I'd say, people respond to it maybe half of the time. Assuming it's actually working and visible to friendlies. Can't say I'm not trying considering how glitchy this game can be/is. 😅

It's squad based I'm sure when you're just pinging danger but if you actually ping the player, Like when it shows their "class", it think that might be the whole team.

I could always hear teammates pinging away but never saw the little marker on my screen so I naturally assume nobody else would see mine.

It's not a big deal on PC but on PS5 my screen whips around at the speed of sound whenever I try to ping an enemy - so annoying when you're trying to fine tune the spot

@EA_Leeuw I've been pinging enemy locations with a controller for a very long time when downed, but I'm not sure if just my three squad mates see the ping or is it your entire 63 other team mates also? Is this something you can confirm?

When playing TDM with a sniper, I ping enemies all the time and it seems other players beyond my squad see the pings as the enemies go down quickly once I mark them. I also use the ping to measure range for bullet drop past 200-300 meters, and you can tell your squad where to meet up, etc.

Ping is underrated and underutilized as I don't think many know how it works, plus there are different types and colors of ping markers, and not intuitive to use with a controller. It would be great if Dice added a tutorial as "ping" creates better team mechanics and communication when playing with others without mics...
