[Suggestion] This weekly task made me think that sniping is inefficient in BF.
A sniper in reality has value in being a source of fear due to being an assassin who will strike a high value target from a hiding place as well as a source of intel/ovewatch for the allies.
As BF is a game, the value of the sniper as an assassin is diminished by both the fact that death is a a setback you get over in a few seconds as well as that the players who are playing normally are almost always on a constant move like angry ants which makes landing those headshots rather hard.
Of course for balancing purposes a sniper cannot be more deadly than they already are.
However what about allowing them to have an extra functionality in gathering intel?
The x6+ scopes could be made to also spot the enemies or vehicles that at directly aimed at. This of course brings the problem of the scope glint. For that I propose that if a sniper has not fired a shot for 20-30 sec their glint goes away until they take a shot again.
This could give a rise in an alternative play style for a sniper which focuses on reconnaissance through their scope like they do in movies etc who will only pull the trigger if there is a really good opportunity for a kill instead of spamming bodyshots and misses until they get a kill and irritating the receiving side
What do you think?
PS: Yes I know there is the SOFLAM but that switches away from the gun and is also taking a valuable slot that player on a vantage point would like the beacon for (since the favorite targets of snipers are other snipers).
