Thank you Dice for the past Games!

Question

The past few weeks, I have stuck around and waited to see what DICE does with the feedback it received from the open beta. In particular, regarding specalists, the ability to use any weapon and gadget, and the air vehicle movement/ mechanics. Today DICE confirmed that no changes will be made in this regard.

This is not a post to complain. Games evolve and DICE is doing what it thinks is best for the franchise. These departures from the game's core are simply not my cup of tea, so I have gotten a refund and will be moving on from Battlefield.

I wanted to sincerely thank DICE and show my appreciation for the hundreds of hours of enjoyment that It has provided me with BF3 and BF4. Whenever I fired up my PS3/PS4, it was always BF3 and 4. I played them exclusively and had a lot of fun.

I hope you all have a great experience with 2042!

I will still be playing BF4 from time to time, probably till servers are no longer active. So if you take a break from 2042 and decide to play BF4, I'll see you there!

@Battlefield3_95I was hoping for more of a return to BF3 &amp; BF4 type gameplay too and am disappointed unfortunately. And by "type" of gameplay I mean back towards more maps that are war torn, with destruction, factioned soldiers, etc. If this is the direction they want to take the franchise then good for them. I'll be playing the old school games too. See you on the battlefield!

Will mever skip it completely, will for sure come back from time to time even during BF2042.
Too many good memories from there.&nbsp;❤️
Just don't compare it with other titles. You just can't, they're all too different especially as they evolve over time as well.

@Battlefield3_95 So dramatic. You could just play the game and return it if you hate it.Have you played BF4 lately? It feels pretty dated after playing BF5. The hit reg is horrible too.

@RaginSam 2042 is basically BF4 remastered. Oh, and the worst specialist idea ever. All the marking and spotting behind walls is a fantastic idea in a military PvP shooter!
