Nope. Just laughing. Consistently getting farmed like that is embarrassing and has nothing to do with how “OP” it is. Plenty of pilots crash and burn within 30 seconds.

@UP_HawxxeyeBecause "ripping that son of a gun out of the sky" is usually incredible difficult as infantry, especially if you don't have a wildcat handy.
Aircraft have far better tools for escaping from ground forces trying to down them than ground forces have to set up plays to actually kill aircraft.Believe me I know, I have been both on the giving and receiving end of this.
But it REALLY makes a difference if the one time there is a good window to land stingers if it is 3 at once instead of 1.
Same if the pilot has to dodge like 4 people using the liz missiles instead of 1.
The main advantage of infantry vs vehicles is their overwhelming number.
I know some aircraft are just dumb right now but trying is better than accepting it
Absolutely, as a 100% ground player I hate enemy aircraft as much as anyone else when they are dominating our pilots but all it takes is 2 or 3 randoms to equip the stinger and the issue is resolved.
Pilots need to have their fun too.
- Defias1234 years agoSeasoned Adventurer@edgecrusherO0 Yeap. That's what I think a lot of the issue is with AA. Lots of people don't like to play because its just not as fun and you don't get to see the results, like you said. There's a whole treasure box full of tactics/things in a game that will win games. But people don't like to play them because it's not as fun. Using spawn beacons. Using smoke. Actually reviving people as a medic. Actually healing people as a medic (like falyk). Being a good transport heli and knowing which flags to drop. Using Rao/AA stuff to scare away vehicles. Using a repair tool to heal allied vehicles. Utilizing a dozer shield to give cover to allies, rather than just charging. Spotting with soflams. Using irish to help counter grenades when a bunch of allies are in one area. Using casper by spotting with your drone, then pushing, then spotting. Instead of just sitting there on the drone none stop. Things like that I've seen turn the tides of a battle. But there just isn't enough incentive to get players to do them. Some do happen more frequently than others though.
- @Defias123 I mean, people do all that stuff, I know I heal a lot as Falck (I'm a medic main).
But it's just that Rao, while he can apply a bit more pressure than other specialists, CAN'T effectively set up kills on aircraft because of the design overall.
Again, blowing flares before teh hack is up or simply flying away quickly to get some distance on missiles so you can flare after the hack expires, or using literally a tiny tree with some branches to break missile locks.
You can apply pressure, but you have zero control over setting up meaningful kills on aircraft. So it's a Rick and Morty "What is my purpose" meme, moment for Rao vs. aircraft.
He has way more interesting interactions vs. infantry with his ability to disable specialist skills and AoE spot groups and stuff. You can actually set up some plays against infantry or even vehicles, but there's no ability to effectively do so against aircraft.
Just trying to make them a bit less of a constant presence farming infantry every bloody round there's a good pilot. - @CPT_GASLIGHT No, it has everything to do with air being busted. One person being "bad" doesn't result in pilots getting 100+ kills and like 2 deaths in a round.

- @CPT_GASLIGHT Ah yes, a whole team is bad yet...most of the screenshots shot the enemy team largely performing "fine", with just a few outliers that are clearly the pilots/gunners.
This is hardcore copium.

LOL says the guy that has dedicated his life this past week whining about the stealth heli when it isn’t even that hard to take down. You are the one coping my guy. Maybe you just aren’t as good as you think you are.
- @CPT_GASLIGHT Your posts still don't make sense. Because there was a whole bad team (statistically very unlikely), just the pilots performed will on the enemy team? Not the rest of the infantry players? One would imagine if the whole-* team was bad, that all of the enemy team would perform well...right?
Your argument makes 0 sense beyond just defending overpowered aircraft. - CountSero4 years agoSeasoned Ace
Yeah, the stealth helicopters are a problem but you need still infantry to win the round.
I’m an infantry only player and I still have fun even with the unbalanced vehicles, yes, I wrote Vehicles because beside the stealth choppers the condor can be still annoying and the Wildcat and his pods kills you behind\thru walls and containers without any line of sight over half the map.
But as I said before still, I have fun grinding weapons and specialist to T1.
Yeah, some rounds suck, some rounds you win and some rounds you have hard battles on each flag which are crazy awesome.
If you unlucky with such pilots in the enemy team stop the timer after the rounds wait some minutes and search another round so maybe you can break the streak and get more fresh players on the server.
So keep on fighting and see you on the Battlefield and let’s hope that DICE brings a hotfix with vehicle balance ^^
