Prime Gaming newest skin 'Bleed Purple'.
and Twitch Squad be like:
- 4 years ago@Dedzigs Eh, low-effort skins to benefit from Twitch promotion. I don't care if these are all simple color swaps, it's freebie stuff.

@edgecrusherO0 🤷, Prime Gaming 5.99$ + EA Play 3.99$ = 9.98$ a month 😩.
Gotta love future of the gaming industry..
- 4 years ago@Dedzigs Well, prime gaming is "free" for a lot of folks that have Amazon Prime, and the free stuff is just one of the perks of Prime Gaming. Do you need EA play on top of that to get these skins? I thought it was just Prime Gaming.
I don't have any of them as I'm using a shared Amazon account and don't want to deal with figuring out how to connect it to my EA account. Don't much care about missing out on a few "meh" skins. - Dedzigs4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@edgecrusherO0 Oh and don't forget about promotion stuff, Logitech G and
now unreleased Nvidia skins, etc.For Logitech G, you must pay a minimum 45$ to get all them skins = 2 gun skins, 1 vehicle skin, 1 player card. Well at least you get the hardware you paid for hehe..
- 4 years ago@Dedzigs Again, optional cross-promotion/marketing stuff. These aren't remotely new or unique to 2042, this has been pretty standard stuff in gaming for well over a decade at this point.
Kinda lame at the end of the day, but at the same time the goodies are usually cosmetic/purely optional so it's not a big deal for me, at least. - ragnarok0134 years agoHero+

Behold the Battlefield 3 Dr Pepper promo camo. There were promotional dog tags too in BF3 that were consistent with the theme.
- 4 years ago@ragnarok013 i forgot about that. the only time i actually bought dr pepper (hate that stuff)
- 4 years ago@ragnarok013 To be fair...these skins fit with the current theme/tone of the game : |

- 4 years ago@ragnarok013 Hopefully Marcus is doing good work on changing the direction in terms of tone/appearance for future maps/skins. He seems to be very much in-line with the community in not being a big fan of the current "haha, war is fun and hilarious with this Woody skin, honk honk!" setting and wants a return to a bit more gritty/realistic visuals. Not like, hardcore milsim realism, but like...BF realism where it plays it pretty straight but also has hovercrafts going up vertical buildings and rendezook shenanigans.

@ragnarok013 @edgecrusherO0 Yeah, just go concept art direction..
Really want something like this, but we will see..
- Dedzigs4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@DANNYonPC DANNY have different thoughts..
- ragnarok0134 years agoHero+@Dedzigs Yeah the concept art was pretty cool, and notice in the reveal trailer they actually made an effort to make the Specialists look military and even had helmets on Specialists that current do not have that option.

Until then we need to continue to leave robust, detailed, and constructive feedback about 2042 here on the forums so DICE sees what the community wants and expects from a Battlefield game so DICE can't say there wasn't any feedback from the community.

GUN SKINS!
- 4 years ago@ragnarok013 He's building a studio for the narrative entry, but he's also in charge of the overall BF narrative. So while he's not working on 2042 proper in terms of new designs/balance, he's apparently having considerable input on changes to the style/tone of the game with future updates.
Like, supposedly he was one of the forces behind the Mackay skin in the bundle given to Gold/Ultimate owners, but I don't have a source for that that's 100% trustworthy.
It's confusing with him both working on 2042 in a way but also not working on it specifically.
I just wish we could hear from Vince on what the future for BF under his leadership is going to look like, since he's in charge of the whole franchise now. - 4 years ago@Dedzigs I had never watched this series (or knew it existed) until after 2042 came out and they started making videos for it. At some point I need to go back and watch all their older videos, these guys are hilarious.

Marcus is at least on the record being as Baffled by the design, tone, and formula changes as the long time fans are. As Fox Mulder says "I want to believe".
- 4 years ago@ragnarok013 Vince for sure know how to make a game. CoD and Titanfall 1 and 2 (especially Titanfall which I personally consider BEST fps up to date) prove he is capable to do things in a right way if he has freedom to do so. But at the same time as much as I want to believe Vince can make a difference probably he is going to do that difference in next game and not redeem this one.

One thing those game have in common that neither one of them is in any way similar to Battlefield.
