The BSV is overpowered
Do I really need to explain why a gun shouldn't get a 3 hit kill fire mode you can fire as fast as you can with full auto and a silencer

@UP_Hawxxeye Im saying that it is already good in short and mid range, and making it better at long range as well, just seems like they made a weapon good at all ranges.

Other guns are still more specialized. For a long range DMR I would still use the SVK
The BSV is superior in most areas, it is more versatile then any other gun (through the modification of rate of fire), it is very good at range, very good at close combat and also very good in between. Additional, it has high damage and if that is not enough, it has always a silencer on it and has the option of very useful subsonic rounds. The weapon has no weakness. I would not prefer a SVK over the BSV and nearly nobody else is doing so. And because of that, everyone is running around with the BSV and nearly nobody with the SVK.
I don't know what game design philosophy stands behind this weapon... but in my opinion, it is a poor one. The same goes for the stealth helicopter, no real weakness, just the addition, that you can't be killed, if you don't want to.
I can't wait, what DICE will give us in season 2...
- @Captain_Tachi I definitely can think of plenty of situations where I prefer the absolute power of the SVK over the BSM. SVK is very high power with medium fire rate, with the only issue being low magazine size and fairly heavy damage dropoff.
Basically, it's just a more power-oriented but less versatile version of the BSM. There are absolutely situations where the SVK will outperform it.@llllKylo_Renllll, I agree. But the SVK has significant disadvantages. The rate of fire is slow, it is loud, you have to aim much more precise, you can see the bullets (and so the position if you miss), the magazine is small, the recoil is high... But BSV needs maybe 1 more bullet (if headshot, then 2 hits are enough), but for this "reduced" damage, you get this amount of versatility? Sorry, I don't buy it, that this will make up for it.
I killed my 1200 people with the BSV and it was pretty easy. With the SVK, it is impossible for me to get good results (I enjoyed the DMRs in BF5 but can't keep up with them in BF2042, except the BSV).
Maybe it is just me... But I doubt it, when I play, everybody is using the BSV, nearly nobody the SVK, no matter what range is needed.
