The Game is A Complete Mess

Bugs:

I came back after a break, like any other normal player, and every single bug I've reported is still in the game! Not ONE single bug has been fixed.

Sundance:

Sundance should have never been put into the game. A greifers wet dream. Get killed by someone, spawn 3 seconds later with some C5, jump off a 5 foot whatever and go fly to whoever, then slam into the ground and get the perk of a busted hitbox for free. Completely game breaking balancing.

Crossplay:

Crossplay is still busted. Dice is doing something weird with the networking. I'm pretty convinced at this point that they're putting PC players a tick or two behind console players. It also might be that the average Console player uses wifi, and the network favors higher connections? Whatever it is, it should favor and reward people that use a wired connection and do what they can to lower their latency, NOT the other way around.

Helicopters:

Helicopters have never been balanced in this game, why?!

I really want a direct answer from a Dice developer about why they're so incredibly obsessed with Helicopters and why they insist having them always dominate? There hasn't been any balance with them from the beginning, and I'm so tired of it.

What is the trade off with a Heli in this game? In real life they're fragile and need to be conscious of their weight. In BF2042 they can take more hits than a tank, can be repaired with in, don't have to worry about mines or C5, can fly way out of bounds, get their flares back faster than any ground vehicle, hide wherever, fly in a way that they're untouchable by tanks, can maneuver in ways that make it near impossible to hit with a rocket... that's an incredible list of advantages! Meanwhile, in a tank, you sit for exactly 3-5 seconds and someone from somewhere is running towards you with C5.

Final Thoughts:

There's parts of this game that I really enjoy, and in a lot of ways this game was possibly my favorite Battlefield game in the franchise. There's a lot I really like...

However, I'm at the point that I will NEVER buy another AAA shooter. I'm so turned off by Crossplay and Aim Assist that I won't buy a shooter that has that built into the game. It's ruined numerous shooters at this point.

Just small reminder, most vehicles can be op if you play them right. Against helicopters there are lockon and manual measures. I am bird main, seen it, felt it.

@RaginSam As posted in another thread, Mines disappear when the attackers progress to next zone. Same for claymores too I bet. Really fedup with this game now and as for Redux, what a complete and utter joke, just an insult to BF Vets.

The only way to make things better is to no longer support this game/studio. The game is so bad it is unplayable for me. I can hop into any other BF title, BattleBit, CS, PUBG, etc and the games actually work. This one is such a hot mess, and the spread changes made the game worse, which was hard to do considering the state it was already in. Thumbs down EA and DICE.

@Adamonic I totally agree and it’s one of the reasons I felt like posting this.

I wanted to be clear that no matter how well received the next Battlefield game is, I will not be buying it. Dice along with other big studios need to start proving themselves again, and I have no faith that’s ever going to happen. It’s been profits over passion for a long time at this point.

I’m still playing 2042 because it is fun for a round or two, but the balancing issues and bugs start getting to me. My tolerance for it has dwindled.

@Man_iLoveFishing The vehicles with the limited space they can operate in, due to the relative small (or even tiny in case of reclaimed and flashpoint), have little trouble flourishing in a target rich environment once they camp near out of bounds or use the areas inf can never get to (again the out of bounds). You didnt really have this in BF2 for example.

DICE lost their way in mapdesign. If you're gonna have (air-)vehicles on a map, the map better be huge or have no vehicles at all if the map cant be huge.

@Wargame_Enj0yerAnd make sure there is cover for infantry, most of the maps have too many large flat areas without usable cover. Infantry cannot avoid vehicles when moving around the map.
The maps need way more assets (like 5-10 times as many) and more ground height variation.

Well, out of bounds are actually minor problems. For example I rarely go there and use mostly objects/buildings/hills for cover.

Personally, the only vehicle I feel is really ridiculous is the stealth chopper that is able to drop bombs while in stealth. That is just ridiculous. It flies in, drops bombs, then flies away to replenish the bombs, completely safe with literally no way to lock on any rocket. Then it comes back and does it again. I played a game yesterday where the top player on the opposite team just flew this helicopter for an entire round. No one could get near him with anything. Just stupid.
A luck shot by Lis, or maybe a wildcat that is close enough might be able to give it some problems, but otherwise it is pretty much invincible with a good pilot

I really don't like to be stats police, BUT you don't get much experience with "Vehicles Destroyed 135" on your account, which means you literally have very low experience with Liss. I just don't want stuff to get nerfed because someone "thinks" with no experience/actions. Play the game.
