I haven't seen a single person in my entire BF2042 playthrough using the Hovercraft. It's awful to drive making one mistake will make you drift or swerve around. You have no control over it. Terrible guns and you're so easy to get shot by anyone soldiers can see you sitting there on your seat from a miles away.
if you weren't here at launch, it was an invincible beast back then

Yep, the hovercraft, LATV, and Bolt were used way more often when the game fist launched.
