It's not only the scoreboard, voip, removal of bots etc that need to be fixed. I think every single aspect of the game is bad. The core gameplay is bad. The weapons, the movement, the veichles and last but not least the whole idea with 128 player maps with bots, awful map design etc. I loved how I felt like me and my squad could be the difference in a round between our team winning or losing. With 128 players, what difference does it make what I do in the game? People love competition. There is a reason why counter strike still is the biggest shooter in the world. It's competetive in a way that no other game is. There is a reason why people love sports for example. It's about competition. That aspect is gone with 128 players. Therefore I'd say just move on. Apologize and leave bf 2042 to die. It will never be fixed. Move on and make a new game from the ground up. Just take the best parts from every game you've made and create a new one.

Mostly everything in 2042 feels completely pointless and I feel that I could care less about the actual outcome of the game due to how unstructured the game is. Noting you do in the game feels as if it's for the greater good of your team. It's all too mindless.In past BF games, I felt like I was apart of the team. I felt that what I did mattered, but in 2042, it's all about yourself. The game is made to be played selfishly, and without structure in place, no one is to be blamed for playing in such a way.The game does not incentivize playing for your team, so why should anyone care about the outcome? It's not like winning or losing matters or has any meaning. It's not like I can communicate to the other team and compliment how awesome of a game it was. I can't see a scoreboard to compare and see how well I did for my team as a whole. The whole game makes winning/losing meaningless.

@Skill4Reel Classes are as relevant in Conquest as VoIP in Hazard Zone. Classes are as much vital as permanent rental servers for Communities willing to host their games. Classes are as much important as the statistics page and classic scoreboard in a first-person shooter game.Previous battlefields are teamwork-based experiences, especially BF2. Classes and Squad divisions with commanders are grounded in a real-life platoon division adapted for the game. 7 man squads with a specific role, Squad Leader. Commander giving orders, scanning the map, and providing supplies. That is what Conquest should be all about in 2042.I find Specialists with their ego-centric abilities with access to all weaponry irrelevant because this approach is turning the whole Conquest concept into a Free for All "cosplay event" mode in the long run. Even capturing points meant something by losing part of the map with its assets in 2005. I see no point for Specialists or division into Classes (with explosives) in TDM, SQTDM, Infantry Rush, or any infantry-based mode. I find Specialists gadgets to be the most ridiculous for TDM like Paiks ESP ability or Boris automatic turret.The only agenda that prevails is a continuous dumbing down the mechanics (especially Conquest) of the game to appeal to COD, recently Fortnight and Apex crowd. I have not instigated the negative reviews on Metacritic. I don`t think that something might be wrong with my approach in this matter by seeing a dwindling player base. I see only 120 dollar connaisseurs still expecting 1st season to drop and keep defending this monstrosity of a supposedly BF game. Present EAs money grabs "ahead of schedule surprise mechanics" and woke policies to capitalize further. Where is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (beloved) Battlefield game in all of this?I`m writing on the forum about Squad Management, statistics page, platoon page, permanent servers run by the communities. Not another dead AI zombie XP farm mode that currently is announced, again on the Twitters page.Continous appeasement to this temporary Specialist hype train will only ruin the Battlefield as a franchise. Playerbase needs Classes to be continuously hyped in Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush vehicular modes. Flesh-out shooter in TDM and other infantry-based modes without fillers like C4s or placeable Automatic Turrets.

At this point, I think it's time to completely move on from BF in general. I've been trying my best to get into Squad and Hell Let Loose. Not a BF replacement, but a new FPS where the devs actually care about their audience.

I suspect they will fulfill their one year legal obligation and ditch it. I do think 128 players was the game's biggest mistake and hope they stick to 64 players in the future. It just works better from a gameplay point of view as far as I'm concerned.

@JudgeeJ2042 is as competitive as any other battlefield game. No one wants to lose a fight in the game.

However you are right about online bots, that is the worst decision Dice ever made and when I start a round and 50% are bots I just switch off mentally and don't try as hard.

@Skill4ReelI tend to agree with your statement as a whole. Even in previous BF games many players just went after the K/D ratio but in 2042 I have noticed a big jump in players just playing for themselves more so then previous BF games.

I was playing BF4 leading up to the release of 2042 and I would normally get revived when downed by teammates most of the time. In 2042 my own teammates will just walk on by while I'm down and not even attempt to revive and this happens all the time that I have begun to notice how much it actually happens. Selfishness will always exist in FPS but when you remove all methods of communication and the no need to play in a unit this is the result. This is especially bad in game modes like Rush where you don't have an infinite respawns while on one side.

@JudgeeJ Had a game of breakthrough 64 the other night and it had a few Aussie streamers in it, they all know each other (Had one of thier streams open) but they were split across both teams.

Turned out to be a super competitive game that went a full 30-40 minutes and was a sweaty game.

Sure there's plenty of games that are just a 15 minute steam roll, but there a definitely games on 64 player mode that come down to the wire with both teams being really good.
