I agree with much of what you say @Mephiticshepard ,
On the bigger differences between COD and Battlefield, though with regards to saying COD = Battlefield when no vehicles on the map in your last statement is probably more controversial...
Think we are many that could list many substantial differences, especially with regards to still the massive difference in weapons handling and the related game mechanics. Many from the community may want to chime in if they notice this page. Personally I just like the bit more 'realism' in the BF environment w the ballistics etc versus the more arcade shooter feeling in COD. Never really spent much time in COD due to earlier experience in that franchise, so maybe it has narrowed down the difference, as later versions have definitely made a big impact in the FPS market?
But think still this now 'oldish' meme is representing one of the bigger philosophical differences between the two?
Now in terms of long range combat, it's still a, point mouse at head, click, gg, it's a kill. Whereas, with Battlefield (thankfully) it's still a, aim forward some, aim a bit higher or so and bam, there's your clicked head. I do agree that BF has much better gunplay and weapon management.
My meaning in the comparison, primarily, was that, unless there's a large fire fight happening (example, B flag in Metro) in BF, it's just another game of domination like in CoD. Both teams running back and forth capturing flags, running and gunning. I enjoyed this last CoD, MW:2019, because the Ground War mode they brought back from MW1/2 was increased to a 64p mode from 18p with 3 capture points and some APC vehicles, random other vehicles too. It was essentially BF Conquest but with kill streaks added. It was the only mode I played in MW:2019 XD Now did some of the kill streaks make or break games, 1000000%.
