I have seen this a lot when driving my MAV and Brawler with the 25mm APDS.
The 25mm on the brawler looks explosive - big cannon, big projectile, but in practice has almost no splash. Though it can 1shot infantry on direct hits. Fair enough, people will shoot it a couple of times at infantry. However, continuously shooting it at infantry every chance you get, not doing any damage, and only stopping when you run out is a clear unwillingness to learn. This isn't just a single salvo of all 8 shots, I've had gunners do this for many many engagements, think 30+ shots fired. Even if they didn't know they can switch to an LMG, you'd imagine they'd stop shooting at infantry when the gun doesn't work?
Similar for the MAV, I have 2 frequent anecdotes.
One is old - in the distant past, the MAV's main gun, the one that has an HMG and a 40mm autocannon, would default to the 40mm. The result was that people never used the HMG even though the UI shows it's there. DICE changed this so the HMG is 1st, and since then people started to switch more often.
2nd frequent thing I see, and related to the last one though, is that HMG. I've seen people shooting the HMG at tanks. Many times. They do not get hitmarkers for this, they do not deal damage, there is no prone dude repairing the tank, and they do it on multiple occasions after the first, so it's not a slow-to-switch issue either. They're shooting bullets at a tank. Everyone knows you can't shoot bullets at a tank... Right? It's scary to imagine that the people doing this might not be children.

@sk1lldSadly I sometimes see this mentality in way more important things, like not wanting to learn basic english for your job. Feels pretty disheartening, some people have given up on the world, they're going to die any second now, why bother... Keep working the thing you know until it all ends.
This could also be my country's aging population though.- sk1lld2 years agoLegend
