@flcrmThat's interesting, Specialists a step forward and classes a step back. I wonder what could have made BF the most successful FPS franchise in video game history? How long have you been playing BF? When DICE/EA first came out with this game they could have called it something else because it wasn't BF. It was just some quasi-military FPS. Now it is getting a little closer to its roots but it still has a way to go.
@DaveTheBrave_USA BF2 had something like seven classes and squads of 6, plus a commander. It also had grapples, ziplines, gas, flashbangs, and night vision if you count in the SF expansion. If you want to take it back to its roots, take it back there instead of the changes made for the BC2 and BF3/4 era, where it was far more limited.

@Moab23I agree. Anything after BF2 & 2142 just went downhill. Don't get me wrong they were fun but just can't compare to BF2. Except I don't think the points you got for kills, flags, etc , and how long it took you to rank up would go over these days with how impatient people are.

@NazT55 Hah, I think I only ever reached the level of Captain or Major, and that was after years of playing. The rewards stuff was super intensive as well, but made it kinda nice to finally achieve.

One more thing. The class system increases the already large amount of uselessness. For example, why can't Sundance (and all others) use the beacon? She can use her ability, fly behind enemy lines and die senselessly. Sundance is now near useless. Pike's main ability is her scanner that can only be used in close combat. But then she can't take advantage of the class in using a sniper rifle. The same goes for the motion sensor and T-UGS. It turns out that the T-UGS and beacon sniper can only use for his personal purposes or not use the advantage of the class in weapons. Then what kind of team play are we talking about? And there are plenty of such irreparable contradictions and inconsistencies. Who did they listen to and why did they do not think, but guided only by emotions?

Engineer Lis can't use 3 of 5 engineer's gadgets. LOL. What are you doing? Trash сlass system should become a thing of the past.

i played as lis, to destroy mv-38 condor you need 8-10 g-84 tgm. but how many g-84 rockets can lis carry? only two. it's a comedy.

On Friday I was playing Rao in CQC using an AR with a TUGs getting a large amount of assists and ribbons from the TUGs spotting. You are not restricted to sniping you have access to all main weapons and even under the previous class systems each class had access to more than one type of weapon category - the class is called Recon not "Sniper" so you should be up front with your squad spotting for them and dropping beacons on the front lines to respawn. Just curious have you played the patch yet?
