People need to understand a thing: battlefield class system is a main thing of the entire franchise. A basic trait. If you don't like this, isn't the game for you.
Like the autor of the post: 64h on 2042 and probably his first BF in all time. What are talking about?
But don't come here and say ''class is a complete disgrace'' 110% wrong.

It is/was a main Battlefield thing, not all of us liked it though. The freedom we had before the update was something however that a lot of players valued, finally we could play Battlefield as we liked. As I stated before, the class system should have been a separate game mode. It's cool if you like it, but why force it on us?
- 3 years ago@nukemetohell Because battlefield isn't a hero shooter. No one asked to them to add these freaking and stupid specialist in the game. They want to follow the modern game trend. And the final number of the game turn in favor to the community. Simple.
Yeeaah Angel does it again.
Want to play hero, specialist ecc shooter? OK do it in their owner games. It's cool if you like it, but why force it on us?- nukemetohell3 years agoRising Traveler

What would be wrong with having two separate game modes, one with classes and one with specialists?
- 3 years ago@nukemetohell infact i don't play game with heroes ecc !!!
- Psubond3 years agoLegend@SoMuchHard they need to give you purists EXACTLY what you asked for and lock weapons too and let you live with what you so desperately wanted. i'm sure you don't stick to the "classic weapon for each class" after 3.2

@SoMuchHard I agree that Classes are a fundamental part of Battlefield. But this game didn't launch with Classes, it replaced them with Specialists.
Players have spent over a year adjusting to them and getting used to playing BF in a very different way to previous titles. Now DICE have decided that Classes need to be added back to the game, presumably in an effort to appease long term BF gamers, but for me it hasn't worked because we still have Specialists. They don't mix. They just don't.
I will continue to play BF2042, but this change is a backwards step. Yeah, in a few months we'll wonder what the fuss was about, but for now players who have enjoyed complete freedom about how they set up their preferred character are left with a very restricted set of choices.

It made everyone samey and generic. It removed teanwork. You assume that your opinion is shared by the majority.
