The next Battlefield - A modern remake of everything BF4!

Instead of spending more time or resources of any kind on BF2042 after the last season 4 drops, then I sincerely hope all EA/DICE resources/time/money instead will go to making a next Battlefield game that truly brings us back to 'the good old classic Battlefield' environment and look & feel.

And not just to make it 'easy' for the game designers and the developer team, but also because I truly think it would be what a large majority of the still existing (old romantic legacy) BF fans out there truly so long for... But my strong proposal would simply be:

A modern remake of all and everything in BF4 - It would be a big winner for EA/DICE!

And when I say 'modern', I dont mean they need to add super heros or laser beam weapons to it. No. Absolutely and exactly not!

A modern remake should keep all we had in the old original BF4, of soldier classes, weapons, gadgets, vehicles, maps, server browser, persistent community-run servers, clans, team and squad functions, spectator mode, etc etc. But the modern part would simply be aka:

Increase server tick rate
Increase screen resolution
Add proximity sound (so soldiers in same vehicle could chat directly, but also so you can hear nearby enemies chatting in close quarter combat situations)
Add cross platform function, so players can opt-in to which platforms they agree to crossplay with. This should include by player input method. (mnk vs mnk or controller vs controller players)
Increase ease of reporting cheaters direct from within game and truly getting them permanently banned and in timely fashion. Community-run persistent servers are still probably the best insurance for this, but still blatant glitchers etc ought to be widely BF-banned by EA DICE, so they cannot just go on to another server and repeat their misdeeds.

Your'e talking my kind of game. that would be a blueprint guaranteed to get the BF franchise back on the road to success.

Yep, pretty much said the same thing before, they had a pretty easy blueprint for a successful modern/near-future Battlefield by just updating/combining the best elements from BF2 through BF4.

My recipe for the next battlefield:
BF3 / BF4 setting and gun-system
BF1 atmosphere and its serious approach
BFV engine / physics
class system
focus on 64 player conquest (and other modes)
classic scoreboard instead of the fake we are having in this iteration

or hear me out on this, go and play BF4 since its still more then alive and active
and lets not go all screaming for the same old same old and force DICE to at least make the current game playable without suffering from brain-bleeds after every session!

Or you can just hop on and play good old BF4? There are plethora of PC and console servers.

As for SRP, its gone, time to accept the fact that we're not getting community servers back. EA took full control over that, and they ain't giving it back.

EA would bring back server browser/persistent servers and yes even community run servers if enough people demand it.
It has taken longer than I expected but players and even a few of the influential youtubers/streamers (whose opinions have been given way too much credence by EA/Dice BTW) are finally catching on to how abysmal and frustrating random matchmaking is and are voicing their displeasure on Redditt, Twitter and of course here.
Even if it doesn't result in having a server browser in BF2042, I would be flabbergasted if it wasn't included in the next BF title. By the way EA/Dice, if it doesn't, I can say with 100% certainty I WILL NOT be buying it after dealing with the matchmaking mess in BF2042.
The same sort of epiphany may eventually influence more players (and yes possibly even the youtubers and streamers) to speak up about bringing back community run servers.
Once players finally understand that it is virtually impossible to build any sort of clan/platoon community without that ability and that no anti-cheat software program will ever be as effective as a well-run, live admin run server is.

@Ironhead841 You have been asking for rented servers FOR OVER 6 YEARS with no success.

Next BF game will likely include CoD style lobbies for otwo simple reasons - Cross play and SBMM.

They want you to play together, so consoles likely to receive literal aimbot next game, as they did with MW2.

And they will be looking to introduce SBMM to stop noobs whining about sweaty players "ruining our gameplay experience where we can't shoot a stationary target from 10m away because Avancys has too much recoil"

What BF "influencers" are we talking about here mate? LvLCap's channel is dead. With 2 mil subs he barely gets 50-70k views per video, sometimes even less.
Westie is a full-time CoD YouTuber now.
Jackfrags is a mixed bag. He makes videos about all types of content. And when he makes a BF video, its most likely just running around and having a fun time, making a positive video. Also, according to his latest "analysis" video, his Warzone videos are more popular, so I'd assume 90% of his time this year will be spent there.

Other than that, I don't think BF has any more noticeable "influencers" left. Silk and Ravic make videos where they farm people.

There are SquidG and CadWoman, but they make either news or just mostly gameplay videos.

And that's about it. BFs community is really stale in that sense. It's old and stiff, just like Battlefield's formula, which is really sad.

You could be right and hell it might even be the best Battlefield game ever but for me I'm not buying if it doesn't (at a minimum) have a server browser and persistent servers.
If they go with some asinine SBMM that'll be another hard pass for me as well.
I can't recall exactly which youtuber it was, probably LevelCap, Enders or Jackfrags, I don't know, I subscribe to a bunch of different ones, and I follow quite a few on Twitter too and the chatter about a server browser has seemed to be heating up lately is all I am saying.
As to the Battlefield formula becoming "old and stiff" or "stale" I don't really think that's the case, but that's just my opinion, I guess.
And I know in the grand scheme of things EA/Dice might not care about one little peon of a customer who has bought damn near every Battlefield game (and their expansions) that's ever been made, but somehow, I suspect I won't be the only one not willing to open my wallet for the next BF title, if they don't wise-up and start listening to their customers.
