@CyberDymeYou have some great ideas and I think this would be fantastic but I also think Dice would just screw it up. In order to have a proper BF4 remaster I would want the movement, gameplay and gunplay to be fairly similar and I think there's no chance of that happening. Look at Portal. Everyone got all excited for the possibilities of older maps (including myself) but then we had to play them with BF2042 assets and gameplay style. Yuck.
Starting with BF5 and continuing with BF2042 they've gone all hyper, spazzy movement with lightning fast TTD/instadeath that caters to the Twitch and YouTube streamers. Personally I can't stand this style of gameplay. Heck I can't even think of a fun, back & forth gunplay engagement I've had with an enemy in BF2042. And they weren't that great in BF5 either. I used to have those type of engagements in BF4 and BF1 and it made those games a lot of fun to play. Not anymore. It's strictly see an enemy and die.
In order for there to be a proper remake of BF4 they'd have to go back and recreate that gamestyle. Sure it invokes nostalgia and those memories of the great times in the older games help us cope and soothe the pain that comes along with playing BF2042. But I don't think Dice is interested in bringing us back to the old days. They're more focused on their live service (two failures in a row there) and microtransactions than they are with making a great game like we used to have.
For the next game I'm at least hoping for something similar to BF4 in terms of better maps with a grittier gamestyle and more interactive gunplay but I'm not holding my breath. Until then I'll continue playing the older games (and Hell Let Loose) 🙂.
I would buy the remastered BF3 dozent matter the price
