I'm just an average night bird pilot with 800 kills. You have to hit the target and run. I fly literally 10ft from the ground or I'll get way to many targets on me. There's plenty of YouTube videos of pilots dominating the air. Certain maps are better for helicopters than others. Whenever you have any cover you disrupt the lock.
