I wasn't aware there was a war between the 2 games.
I have played around 3 hours of Halo infinite and getting close to 60 hours on battlefield 2042.
I just can't get into Halo games anymore, and I really haven't been able to since Halo 3. By the time Halo 3 came out the formula already felt somewhat outdated and stale.
I don't see whats supposed to be so great about Halo Infinite. I just feel like im playing halo 3 with better graphics.
Halo only got popular because it was one of the first console shooters where the controls felt on point. Why anyone has ever felt the urge to play it on PC is beyond me (On PC it's just another mediocre shooter)

I hadn't played Halo in quite a long time but gave Infinite a shot. And it plays really well! Good maps, movement feels really fluid still and has some nice new power weapons to use. And with the extra year of development time it's solid. No bugs and glitches from what I see.
I think the reason why Halo has done so well is because it has a large loyal fanbase who know what they're going to get for gameplay with each installment. The franchise recognizes that it has a formula that works and doesn't try to reinvent itself and be something that it's not. Cough, cough.....Battlefield.

@BtheReaper49 I've been a Halo player since Halo 3 and if only this statement was true! Halo has had an identity crisis since Bungie left the series after Reach and 343i took it over. Both Halo 4 and 5 were lambasted by the player base for not being Halo and having an identity crisis and this is the first entry that the player base has been genuinely happy with since the Bungie days. Let's hope that DICE has a similar epiphany that they need to return to the series' identity and then they too will get praise and happy players.

I am a big fan of BF series, but Battlefield 2042 - is a complete shock and disappointment.
I still try to play here and there, but more i play, more unhappy i feel.
Bugs, crashes, errors, unusable GUI, no maps, no guns, no diving, no watercraft, airplanes suck, no voice chat, best walking simulator ever and etc. and etc. and etc.
Battlefield 2042 is not losing the war. The war is lost, lol.
Quick survey:
1. Which game you would NOT buy in 2021?
2. Why did you select BF 2042 in particular?
3. if you can describe a complete failure with a word that starts with letter "b", what would it be?
* Blonde dead-duck
* Bomb abortion
* Battlefield 2042
