The Question of Aim Assist
Okay, I'm finally putting this here, because I am really, really at a loss. How powerful is the console aim assist? From my POV, it might as well be a legalised aimbot. Currently, I have to resort...
Just plug a pad into your pc and see how comical it now is, it’s that bad it’s harder to actually overshoot your target than to hit it
I'll reply. The assist feels pretty normal. I'm hitting some and missing some what more is there to say. I'm dying to PC players far more than console players(hardly a surprise as lobbies are consistently 60% PC) and the quick deaths are mostly PC too. The tools are there to get your own impressions of aim assist, then you can actually see what it's like(and if you're really good some videos and tips would be nice).

?
I - a controller user - have already responded to this topic multiple times (see comments #2, 6 and 11). Unless you are implying that I'm being dishonest.
I've always played BF on PC since BF1942, I never really played much BF5 due primarily to Patrick Soderlund's comments.
BF1 was ok but just not my cup of tea so I was still mainly playing BF4 until BF2042, so this is my first real foray into the cross-platform experience and so far, it hasn't been a great experience and it doesn't appear to be working out very well.
Neither side of the PC vs. console debate is happy with the current situation it seems.
From a PC players perspective any sort of "aim-assist" is definitely not welcome in any FPS and console players seem to be of the mind that mouse and keyboard (as broken as the mouse input is right now) gives you some sort of god-like powers, I have not yet experienced these powers myself yet but yeah ok whatever.
Might be time to just call it quits on this whole cross-play experiment.

@Moab23I'd also like a straight answer on this, any Controller users care to comment? Is the aim assist "normal" now or is it better than usual?
@S3SSioN_SoL It's normal.
In post #6 in this thread I attempt to offer some objective data points. My accuracy (post 1.2) is LESS in BF2042 than with similar guns in BF1 and BFV.
