The TOR Railgun tank does not belong in breakthrough modes

The only reason anyone uses this tank in breakthrough is to camp behind their out of bounds area on one side or the other and snipe at enemy vehicles or aircraft.
Actually driving this tank into the objective is a one way ticket to to the respawn screen. On conquest its a bit more open and reasonable to use it, but in breakthrough there's no reason this tank should be deployable. Its just like the nightbird used to ruin breakthrough matches, the TOR does the same thing.

TOR camping has become a big problem in all game modes and I wish that DICE would make an update where deployable gadgets like the APS or Anti-Lock on gadget cant be deployed in any area that is considered a spawn area or out of bounds area. There's no reason to need to deploy these items other than to camp up with a tank and make sure no anti-vehicle weapons can approach it and no infantry can get to it because they will die before they get there.

Its not a fun gameplay style its frustrating and breakthrough especially would be better without the TOR Railgun tank being deployable.

  • The tank doesn't belong at all in this game. It's the opposite of the PTFO gameplay that DICE is always pushing. It's infuriating to play against and playing in it is boring and quickly loses its charm.

Blame DICE who decided that the tanks since BFV belong in the rear lines instead of the front lines and made them a free kill in close range
  • @SpudBugThe TOR in breakthrough is best suited for defenders. It's often the only thing stopping the attackers from walking all over the defenders infantry. The best way to counter deployable gadgets is Casper's drone.

Yes I wish the TOR could be removed completely or changed but I doubt that will happen. It's a mess of a vehicle that screws up the game design in multiple ways. It only is effective at being cheap and hiding at maximum distance where it can't be challenged without extensive planning and workarounds.

same arguments can be made against stealth helo

  • The TOR Railgun tank does not belong in whole game. Must be removed/deleted from game.

@Prof3ss0r_M1k3Absolutely not, tor sits, bird moves which means most of players will see and target. Now we talk about skill difference. I can take tor but never almost engage another Tor, I will not make to enemy base, but you can take bird and engage me when ever you want, difference is, I'll win cause I have more skill in it.

If only there was a way in which some form of explosive device could be stealthy delivered behind enemy lines and destroy camping vehicles.....

    Pebbles in a pond.
