I dont understand their 4 player logic here on a 128 player server. there was 10 of us last night playing. we couldn't even get on the same server. everyone just disbanded to their own discord channels and basically played in their own squad/server. I unfortunately got stuck with the 3 meatballs. which are good friends, but kinda suck at fps games. It really kills the experience to be stuck in a * squad. and dont want to leave for the fact, you actually like the people. Having a 6 man squad, 2-3 bad players are very much nullified by the 3-4 good players carrying them.
the lack of server browser is also a breaking point, non of us could even get on the same server. I like finding a server that runs 24-7. that is where you end up seeing the same people day after day. play with or against friends, make new friends. half of my gaming friends are from situations like this. I still play with at least 5 friends I met playing desert combat mod on 1942, almost 20 years ago.
That was part of the "battlefield experience", making friends. taking your friends dog tags and having something to gloat over them. just strait up friendly competition, working together to push the other team back. now its just, go make some mayhem and go away.
There use to be classes that worked hand in hand together. each class had its strong points and weaknesses, a full 6 man squad of each class was powerful. the new classes/characters/loadouts feel like they are mostly built for the solo player. i mean, how does a wingsuit help a squad? she flies away from them. grapple hook too. why be a medic anymore? your health regens so fast. engineer repair tool? just turbo out of there and the vehicle will fix itself.
I could rant on, but im starting to slip topic, and I feel like dice is just the puppet of marketing, and wont listen anyway. but just incase they do, don't forget JOYSTICK SUPPORT, and the old scoreboard.
