@j1dog Battlefield is not a milsim and scope glare is present all the time for a reason. The same goes for 3D vehicle spotting mechanics, players are visible on the minimap while shooting also in 2042.
I would honestly opt for a more realistic approach as You presented above. I would rather see the BF series steering toward BF2 mechanics - healing as the action taken by the player rather than auto heals which completely makes the game extremely casual. The scope could only glint when a sniper changes its position... on the other hand on some maps, sniping would be extremely one-sided with full realism... so I'm not so sure about scope glint. So yeah once the scope glare is going to be removed then auto-spam spotting with 3D Doritos above the head is the next to go.
