It feels like literally everything in this game can spot you, you are always on the map and you can't do anything cause if you move you get beamed.Flanking feels like an impossible task at times and when you get a good one off its normally for a few kills then your dead and made no impact to the map, it sucks....I can totally see why people are just exploiting the boltes, they make more impact in the game than anything.What's everyone's thoughts on spotting? I feel its horrible and needs massive changes I honestly wouldn't mind it removed completely and to only show on the radar when shooting with unsuppressed weapons.

@blaze312405 BF1 had the best compromise spotting system in my opinion but don't disagree with the basic premise.

@GerryGerbill It's the proxy ball spam, they are everywhere on objectives.

There are a number of issues with the spotting mechanic ATM.
One of the best ones I find is when you get a 3D spotting mark on an enemy player whose location is actually behind about 300 meters of solid mountain.

@GerryGerbill It's not spotting, it's scanning that's the problem. There is a HUGE difference. This game calls scanning, spotting, but it's not the same as legacy spotting. It's all passive in 2042 where in BF4 you had to have your crosshairs on someone then hit a button.

Paik scan shows instant outline of your position +
Caspars drone spotting from the air +
Rao's passive position scan +
Proximity grenades bouncing off every contested area =
All enemies are staring down sites at you the instant you come around the corner.
