People that want to play Battlefield multiplayer across platforms with their friends seem to always get overlooked in this debate. Being able to do this has always out weighed any negatives in crossplay for me.
I personally have had no issues with crossplay in Battlefield 2042 as a console player, or maybe I do not care enough to notice them.
@Skill4Reel Why can't this cross play system be like apex? Apex's Cross play can perfectly solve these problems. If you want to play with PC, just team up with PC players. If you don't want to play with PC, it will only let you match console players.
