It can be a VERY small advantage only because it can make visuals pop a little more, make things more vibrant. It really depends on the game though, and you really can't change much with 3rd party software. In-game settings are far more important to tweak IMO.
All of that advantage gets thrown out when Aim Assist is part of the equation though. PC players rely so heavily on being able to identify the target, then track the target. When there's a bunch of visual clutter, that becomes a very strenuous task. Controller players just have to identify the target, then the assist will help them get onto target, and stay on target regardless of all the particle effects. PC players have to make every single minor adjustment while tracking. Including, micro stutters, visual clutter, weird movement because of networking, and the list goes on.
So the point is, NO, it's not really an advantage at all.
