IMHO BF4 was the pinnacle of Battlefield games, all the games after dropped key legacy features like dedicated rental servers, server browsers etc.
I disliked BF1 and BFV and now BF2042. They need to bring back the comradery the teamwork and drop the lone wolf game play. We need clan players back.
I wouldn't go as far to say BF2042 was the worst but it's not the best ether.
@sk1lldI agree that BF4 is the best.
But BF1 was actually good it had a few bad things, but in general a solid BF-game, BF1 had the highest overall quality of any BF-game. BFV was a large downgrade (attrition was weird), but it was still a BF-game and had good gun-play.
2042 is just annoying in my opinion, nothing is left that is fun, maps are boring/bad, boring gun-play, specialists are stupid, overall it is a cludge.
They all have their pros/* and I've played all of them, some more than others`. 2042 for me was the worse but has gotten much better, so there is that.
Still, this game on launch was not very engaging and DICE has done a lot to change that, but it still feels off to me (excepting the usual lack of maps, weapons and vehicle imbalance).
