Pilots also benefit from teamplay.
It is much better for a pilot / gunner if people are bothered to spot enemies for their team.
An attack helicopter with a gunner is much more formidable than one without one. A heli with passenger seats benefits from repairs or extra missile launchers on the side
A pilot will live longer if the team on the ground is actually attacking the Wildcat that is firing at the pilot or shooting at the the soldiers who get out of cover to fire missiles on the aircraft.
One of the most important lessons about Battlefield games that I had to learn for myself is that one is not going to have a good time if they only play alone without a a party of friends of a platoon.
This is not a gameplay balance issue, it is simply that this game is made to be played as a team where people help each other instead of playing like lone wolves.
My enjoyment of the game increased by orders of magnitude since BFV just because I found a fun platoon which helped me to have 1 to several people who wont ignore my requests for aid.
- MADMAC50K2 years agoSeasoned Ace@TG_Maveric2022 I play as a teamplayer every round I play. Spotting, giving orders as SL, dropping ammo, heals, health for my squad/team. Even looking at what class we have in the squad before the round starts etc. But in order for the game to be balanced, everyone has to do that, and that doesn't happen. Lone wolfs and those just seeking high K/D aren't penalised. Those that do play well aren't rewarded enough. DICE are trying to force teamplay by making vehicles OP. Instead it's just driving player numbers down as people getting tired of being farmed and go play something else.
