Tips for better team play

my only question on 7 is who gets to pick where you go?  i know, i know.  squad leader.  my question is why do i have to follow some random person around and do what they want just because the game randomly bestowed squad leader on them?

That's a tough question for sure and a valid one. Still you're better as a squad and not 4 individuals. PUBs is always that way though 🙂

depending on if the squad leader isn’t an idiot. And is parking on defending or taking an objective, and not just in the middle of nowhere doing nothing. 

Spawning on a squad leader immediately means you are 2 vs a possible 1 or 2 other players.

You also get to work on an objective wearing down the opposition.

ther is no downside. 

that said. 
mid the squad leader isn’t actively setting objectives. Then they clearly aren’t playing as a team themselves, and as such, spawning on a different base, vehicles etc. is just as valid. 

Id say that without comms. Spawning Willy July is perfectly valid.

but if a squad leader has set an objective and you choose to spawn somewhere else. Then your just a d.

Don’t be a d. Is the motto of a lot of airsoft sites as well. Especially because it’s a game based on honesty and you have to call your hits.

I agree it's tough to play as a squad with some of the randoms you get lumped in with. Especially if your squad leader is hill-humping on the far edge of the map.

This game (and most other really) it's a lot more enjoyable when you play with friends and you're all on Teamspeak or Discord working together.

EA/Dice has made the decision to alienate Clans/Platoons here recently so it's tough getting and keeping a good group of players together, most of the guys I used to play with won't even touch this game since trying it at launch and have moved on to other titles like, Tarkov, Hell let Loose, Squad etc. etc.

I really think EA/Dice dropped the ball alienating Clans/Platoons for this more lone-wolf solo type gameplay model.

to sum up be able to think, breath and press the "W" key or move your left stick forward and you already are overqualified for this game

1. Always remember you are on a TEAM and in a SQUAD. Your team mates can help you and you should help them. The object is winning and NOT your K/D.

2. In your vehicle, especially the Wildcat, but all of them, setup the OTHER SEATS in a way that makes sense. If your Wildcat is setup with twin 30s and AA missiles, your intent is probably to hang back or on the edge...WHY would you put the 40mm canister shot pod on? It's worthless at more than 10 feet. The 60mm flak pod is a much better choice so your TEAM MATE can help you bring down that pesky chopper. It's also better against troops IMO. Think about what helps the other player in your vehicle help you and the team.

3. REVIVE for Pete's sake. WHY oh WHY play a medic and just run by down team members? Especially since it progresses you in T1 for that specialist and gives XP. Also, it's quicker to bring that person back online at the objective instead of waiting to spawn 150m away. And if you don't revive, fine, but don't spam the request button over and over when you're down, ya self centered a-hole. All of this is of course relative to combat and not dying yourself.

4. Pay attention to the other members of your team. If tons of them are dying around you. chances are there is someone close. Camping that corner doing nothing isn't helping. How many times has Corner Camper been there back turned not watching as the other 3 members of his squad go down, never moves and gets executed?

5. Watch other players pings and spots. It's valuable info that can save you the death and result in another kill for you. When Rao, Paik, Casper, pokemon ball are all spotting, pay attention to the spots. I swear some people play with their eyes closed.

6. PING enemy players while down and pay attention to the pings of your team. If you're laying there spamming for a revive, ping that enemy hiding in the corner 5 feet away instead. That way the reviver knows where the enemy is, can get the kill AND bring you back safely. 

EDIT: 7. I forgot...work with your squad. Why are all 4 of you at different areas of the map?

AND MOSTLY

Stop playing the game as if you're the only person on the team.

Well written, this would act as a good guide for new players.

A lot of what you say is common sense but it is also very common to see players repeatedly doing exactly what they shouldn't and ignore all attempts at teamwork.

We all make mistakes but hopefully most of us can relate / adhere to most of your advice, most of the time.🙂
