There are so many campers including vehicles. Trolling a camper is funny but I would prefer to have more active players. TOR and Wildcat camping at spawn survive for a long time without doing much job compared to MBT and EBLC-Ram. Please stop encouraging players to camp. Please stop making campers feel themselves strong. Rorsch Mk-4, TOR and Wildcat 30mm AA are bad examples. Edit:I intended to talk about campers with long range weapons.

@TwentyValveI agree with you wholeheartedly. I struggle with a 0.94 KD. Most of the kills I get are when encountering a target that didn’t see me. In face to face encounters it’s 50/50. Unnecessary deaths of team members gives the opposing team momentum towards a victory. I have learned to hang back and let the most skilled players engage the enemy at the beginning of an engagement of a flag, then move up to enter the capture zone where I can accelerate the capture, while having a better chance of survival. Now, while I’m hanging back I do lots of spotting and get a few kills without me getting killed. I’d rather rush in with the aggressive attackers/defenders, but I will likely get slaughtered without really contributing to my team’s momentum towards victory. Though I’m not obsessed with KD, getting “owned” is not fun. Additionally, playing this way I have raised my KD from 0.86 to 0.94, while at the same time supplying lots of ammo, lots of reviving, and spotting lots of enemies.I agree when you write how map design “demotivates people from moving”.

@xraythreeNot me. Doesn't matter if I am first or last on the flag when capping it but I guarantee you I will be the first to get killed lol. There could be a handful of teammates around me but I will be the first to get killed. Happens every time.

Personally I used to dislike camping snipers, and people that sat in the home base area tucked away inside an AA vehicle. But, I have got used to vit over the years and my opinion on this now is well, they paid their money the same as you, so they play it like they want to.There really isn't anything you can do about it. It's kind of like free speech, you may not agree with what they are saying, but they are entitled to say it anyway just like you are. If you don't like it then just look for another game, thats what I do.I remember some years ago there was someone that rented a server for "Sniper Only" game play. Funnily enough it was always busy! I found it incredibly boring, but, each to their own I suppose.I feel what we have to remember here is that this is a Game, it's supposed to be for entertainment thats all.

@MZR_926 I feel like BF2042 in general has more campers than previous games.

BF1 had artillery trucks, BF5 had MMG campers.

But BF2042 took it to the next level. Either because of the gunplay, or because there are many more high skilled players because casuals left and went somewhere else, but people here refuse to move.

I see it everywhere. People camping with underbarrel GLs. Its getting quite ridiculous actually. People put them on ARs, LMGs and DMRs just to camp in a corner waiting for someone to run by.

And yes, the fact that Dice keeps putting those camper-friendly vehicles and gadgets into the game doesn't make things any better.

@MZR_926I've never had any issue with camping vehicles. Also, to clarify, I'm not saying they don't camp I'm saying it's never been a problem for me when capturing flags or general game play.

I feel most of the camping comes from map design.
with so many nooks and crannies to hide, its easy to find a camping spot or get killed by a camper. which demotivates people from moving, since they will just get mowed down by nearly invisible camper.
it reminds me of CoD map design. so many angles and camping corners.

@xraythreeI am similar. Im old and my reflexes aren't what they used to be. I stick to hunting vehicles and help cap objectives when i can

@MZR_926 I’m always annoyed when I see our Wildcat at the base spawn. I don’t think there’s a single map when that’s an effective spot for it. The TOR and Wildcat are kinda designed to defend areas?

I’ve never liked the term camping in battlefield games. It’s usually a person just defending an objective. If you play the objective I feel like this isn’t an issue. The flag tells you how many people are on the flag. The area of the flag is limited. There’s a lot already there to communicate to the player. It’s designed really well.

Then you have Casper, Paik, drones, Prox sensor, spotting, turrets, and I’m probably missing more.

@Psubond I find many problems related to AA because I play helos. Wildcat camping at spawn can't destroy my helo. Also, I like playing MBTs and Ram, so I don't want TOR and Wildcat to survive forever. I suggest things that will let me have more fun but I don't think I'm saying anything wrong.
40mm, 50mm and 57mm cannons and Ram are very good at AA but it's not a problem.

Take some responsibility. You have tools to blow up campers. Do it, and maybe focus on your locus of control. Everyone games for a different reason. Yeah, I'm that guy who is happily taking off your head with a DXR on the other side of the map. If you, you know, didn't stay still, you wouldn't die.
