Hi - perhaps me that is unlucky - but the other day there was a storm on every single round of play. Yesterday every second round - no matter map. Has there been a change in this ?
There is also a bug in hourglass map - when on B down in tunnel and storm is right over you - there is no way a storm / tornado can suck you up to top of the tunnel !
That's funny you say that because I noticed a lot more storms yesterday as well.
It's a prelude to season 6 which will be named Storm Season 😉
@Col_Larsen i don't remember any weather specific changes being mentioned recently.
It might be just unlucky i guess.
I saw them often too, even before the recent update. (not every match tho)
And sometimes a tornado is even starting right at the beginning of the match.
As this whole weather thing is like a dynamic setup, i think it's about luck what happens on the map as it's kinda random.

Ransom storms in an FPS game is a stupid idea.
Seen a match start on Stranded and the two nearest flags of one team had storms directly over them at the beginning of the match. So dumb.
@Col_Larsenit seems like they upped the frequency on Hourglass. I don't mind the brownout (looks red), but the tornado is a little ridiculous for the desert. They have dust storms, but it is normally a huge wall of dust/sand and not a vortex (I spent too many years in the sandbox).
So, I’ll admit that at first it seemed kinda neat and was an interesting twist.
After experiencing a catastrophic storm on every single map, every match you play,…it gets a little old and annoying.
If the devs feel a need to showcase their awe inspiring programming and the graphical dynamics of their hard work,…fine, create a specific set of “storm” maps.
Overall, I see them now as nothing more than an unnecessary ad-campaign for how cool that Battlefield 2042 is going to be that has been forgotten to be turned off. Kind of like paying to run Turbo Tax ads in July.
It really just detracts from any strategic gameplay. Once in a blue moon event, sure, reasonable. Every damn map every damn match,…overkill.
I would have preferred just a usuall dynamic weather thing over those giant storms and stuff.
Should have brought back the levolution events instead, like we had in BF4 that make the map play different if triggered.
