Btw to everyone else replying here. Theres been so much I wanted to reply to but reading further down it seems someone usually points out the same basic idea I would have. Good to see everyone keeping their composure, however.

As for the legacy features missing or influencing gameplay. Yes I think they influence gameplay. QoL IS essential to enjoyable gameplay. I think this is the main reason for the hate. They took so much away and leave us with this hollow shell of a Battlefield. Its been said here so many times now. You cant take away all the things that make something great and expect that thing to remain great. I guess I just wish this game didnt carry the BF title. This whole debacle would have been avoided. Maybe at the very least they could have promoted this game differently, advertised it as "An entirely new, redivised Battlefield". Then again, heres another complaint of the community. The people who feel lied to over the promotion and advertisement EA choose.
Anyway, I really want to like this game and hopefully in the future I will. Maybe you will see me on the battlefield. We will see.

But you have to admit that such posts are a rarity here in the forum.

Also, most of the post that are “positive” or on favour of BF20420 are more friendly than the threads that are disliking it.

Yes, also for me it was long ride with the Bf franchise (since 2004) and yes, the game has changed but I don’t mind the changes and some changes I like much more in BF2040 than in the games before. Also, as long it hits my personal preferences and I can have fun with it I don’t mind some minor bugs or glitches (these can be fixed). If these bugs are bigger and I can reproduce them, I open a Bug Report.

Yes, I admit that sometimes my posts are close to the edge of sarcasm but most of the time my posts are not short I will take my time to write down my opinion and bring also the facts which presenting my “personal view”.

That’s in my opinion the part of a discussion but yes, I understand what you mean and I see that sometimes the opinion fronts are hardened.

So again, thnx for your post and clarifying your opinion.

Look, I was just adding my point of view. I'm not rewriting history, taking sides nor keeping score in this incessant bickering going on around here. To me, it's all the same when people are goading each other whether that's because they like or are critical of something.   If you don't see those same exchanges occurring between some around here, that's fine.   ....but I have no interest in continuing this one.  

I'll go ahead and take one on the chin for opening my mouth rather than listening to my instincts.  You don't see my point so I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise.  Have a good one.

Well your point is wrong and not based in reality.

Social media is dominated by toxic bullies operating in mobs and we have one with 2042. They have attacked everyone who dares to say they enjoy the game.

The people who enjoy the game have stopped posting on here and on reddit.

Only a few are left who try to push back against the mob yet in your view they are as bad as the mob.

One of the bigger YouTubers made a excellent graphic with three types of BF players, one the first type of burn it to the ground, the second doing polite constructive criticism, and the third was "this is the best game ever, you haters need to shut up and not post your criticisms - you're toxic". I think that content creator was spot on, both the left and right players were toxic and preventing the game from being fixed while the middle player was doing what we as a community should.

There are people on here that take great pleasure in pouring negativity into any and all threads in here, even those that try to discuss issues in a constructive way.  They have a one track mind of "BF2042 BAD EVERY OTHER BF BEFORE, GOOD" even when issues discussed have been ever present on BF.

As to the slight aside of a server browser.....

There can be only 4 is bad and being unable to play a full map rotation is bad also.

BUT

As long as servers 'disband' after every round, I can't see how a server browser will fix this!

The people that like it are either the easy as hell to use snipers or vehicle players that wait and wait until one is available then just run people over.

The overpowered vehicles are ridiculous in this mess
