I just wanted to be the first to warn the devs on the extreme back lash your probably going to get and that redux is going to receive very negative feedback I'm sure. No one really cared for the mid season events, I mean they might play them because it was an exclusive different game mode for 2 weeks out of the season that changed it up a bit (if people liked it). Re Running all these mid season events just to give away previously expensive store items that not many people bought for 6 weeks is a very bad idea. All people have been asking for is new content. All we get is 1 NEW map every 12-14 weeks (reworks ARE NOT NEW MAPS). Now it's going to be extended another 6 (maybe 8 weeks if I had to guess), just to get that 1 NEW map and maybe a fist full of weapons. This will help further kill the game down the road it goes in the last half of the season even further. We've been asking for more content at a better rate. This is the answer? Quite the opposite I believe. I'm done for the season as of last week and guess I won't be playing for a further 6 weeks. As someone who has tier 1 every season pass, and has been a dedicated player since launch, that's my 2 cents.P.S. Not 1 positive comment on Reddit concerning "Redux", just a very disappointed community (what's left of it)

The best thing to do is just not play. That is my plan. Once I get the S5 T1 Mastery, I am done. Zero incentive to play, especially with the spread changes. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.You can't tell me they are not doing this deliberately. BF2042 is not making any money, so the fewer players the better. They have made the game near unplayable as infantry for anything beyond 50m and now we get old stuff brought back.

Redux is not that bad from the PoV of those who missed parts of these mid events

@GrizzGolf If only DICE hadn't spent the past month hyping up the S6 announcement that ended up being, "JK, S6 delayed, here's two seconds of the new map and also we're bringing back old events!"Which is nice but doesn't match up with the buildup to this announcement in the slightest. DICE once again setting themselves up for failure and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory because they seem incapable of taking the pulse of the community.

They literally put lipstick on a pig for the last 20+ months and never actually made the core of the game any better. I would be embarrassed to put my name anywhere near this title.

Yeah I think the delay and the Redux is going to get the people raging again.Honestly I have no idea who's left working on the game so maybe they needed more time if its down to like 5 people. Not mad about it. Just happy we are getting a new map and fingers crossed I hope new weapons and more portal weapons to AOW

@Adamonic Whats truly sad is that it's players like us who have probably ensured the fact that most people aren't stuck just playing AI. You would think they'd get on here and take some advice from the community and reflect on it cause honestly some of us just want to save the franchise.

I hope you will find something entertaining to do (I hear BG3 is great).
Remember, when the next BF games comes, we need to wait for reviews from trusted creators and not game journos (aka the chaps who gave 2042 almost perfect scores) or privileged super-creators.
We do not want to be that guy in that AAA parody video again who bought the Sequel that was a different color box with a different number pasted over the old number and after paying he is like "AH! Horrible! Why does this thing keeps happening to me?!".

@UP_Hawxxeye Thank you, I appreciate that. I had started playing the WW1 game series but not a lot of people playing unless it's the weekend. Never the less, I enjoy it even when playing against the games AI at times. Plus on the weekend is when I use to play battlefield the most. I definitely won't be pre ordering and buying the next battlefield game on day 1. This was actually the first time I bought a battlefield game the moment it came out. Usually I wait a few months, boy did I pick the wrong battlefield title to buy on day 1 to get an early start.

@Its_Travis_199 Well they are picking the worst possible time for a vacation/victory lap. The game just now reached what I like to call it, being finally a finished product. People are actually playing finally and they've drawn players back in and those of us that have been playing since launch have been waiting for them to step it up. Now is the time to launch a full season with more than the usual amount of content. Like i don't know . . . More than 1 map every 12-18 weeks and maybe double digits amount of weapons like bf3/bf4 (or at least 5+), and add some wow and pizzazz to the game. 2042 is hands down the most dull and boring battlefield title in the franchise for many reasons. Instead of doing that they basically say "hey! We're going to make the next season take an extra 6 weeks to come out, here play this recycled garbage again while we take a victory lap." O and the season 6 will be just like past seasons and you'll be tired of it way before the season is half way over.

I wonder how Redux is going?
I haven't played in 2 weeks. By the looks of it (Steamcharts), the player count is at its lowest since October 2022 and failing fast. Player numbers fade over time, but a 50% drop off the latest peak in June is pretty telling (the game is still in bad shape).
I hope others are enjoying it, but the spread changes have made it unplayable for me.

What is Redux? It's a marketing dummy. All the same, the developer leader may have come to manage the project from a beer commercial. These universal managers don't care what they manage badly.
