I've noticed a huge (10-15ish per side) influx of players on PS5 since 2042 was added to PS+.
I believe it's also on GamePass and EA Access so now everyone should be able to have a nice balance in gameplay with it turned off (depending on the mode, of course).

I've been playing with crossplay off for a little while now on Xbox (EU) and can usually find Breakthrough matches fine. Portal is a bit more hit-and-miss but that worked in my favour with a T1 I was working on.
