Trying to play with Friends on BF2042

Hello everyone Today I got a few friends to jump on 2042 with me. All PSN players, some on PS4, some on PS5... but we couldn't all find each other in the game. We tried Social PSN IDs, but our name...

@NewYorkGameflow PS4 and PS5 aren't crossplay compatible.

      @Trokey66 True, but I believe that is only if you have purchased the PS4 version or the PS5 digital deluxe or something. [I don't know, I play on PC, just something I remember reading] but I remember that it isn't a guarantee.

        @Anobix Initially, Gold or higher was required to get the PS4 version with the PS5 version but then they changed it to any PS5 version 🤬

    Damn... that was unexpected. Thanks for the info. Hopefully the devs can figure this out sometime down the line.

      @NewYorkGameflow Don’t hold your breathe, it’s not something they are even working on. The game itself is different between the generations of consoles, lower graphics, limited players (64 on last Gen, 128 on new). I’m not sure they could even if they wanted to. Without a server browser in All Out Warfare, you can’t choose what server to play on for the peeps you could play with. A party is maxed at 4, so you’d have to play in a Portal server only. Some portal servers don’t offer full XP, so you’ll have to make some choices. Sucks but it’s what it’s at.

        Yea, the idea was to make a few portal games we can all jump on and have fun in, we would invite more friends and fill in the rest of the spots with bots. Then, as you mentioned, I found out that exp is restricted when using bots. Between some of us having to get the ps4 version of the game, and exp being restricted with bots, the whole idea kind of became pointless... sadly.

      Hey @NewYorkGameflow,

      It is in correct that there are different versions of the game; the current and last-gen. Current and last-gen versions can't cross-play with each other. If you run the last-gen version of the game on the current gen console, it should indeed be possible. This is also explained on our websites.

        Can you please post the link that highlights this issue as I stated a few minutes ago my wife and I are experiencing the same issue, we both play on ps5 with the most recent updates however even when I try and find either of us using our ea accounts nothing comes up. Like wise the same for our psn shows 0 I also have 4 freinds who play on ps5 and they're not showing either, any info would be greatly appreciated.
