I use the repair sometimes like this morning on a tank or wildcat but against an attack helicopter you can't do anything: it's op. The TV missile is not very effective. The Stinger is a joke implemented by Dice: completely useless. It's a skin.
Stinger is at its most powerful when you do not pull the trigger but use it as psychological warfare. Only pull the trigger if you know the target has no flares or you really want them to spend the flares.

Hey hey, Feints are a valid battle strategy irl tooTo make the enemy uncertain about when the attack will come or to mislead them about how many arrows/bulelts/rockets etc you have available is all part of war.
I bet the Art of War has something about that too.
- MADMAC50K2 years agoSeasoned Ace@UP_Hawxxeye I think that would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that air vehicles are also alerted when a missile is incoming. Only a n00b pilot will pop flares as soon as they hear lock on, and they aren't the real threat - it's the experienced, skilled pilots who wait for the missile incoming warning before popping flares, so not really a valid tactic for them.

As an experienced pilot I can say that it adds the amount of things one has to keep track of. It gets exponentially scarier if it is not just a single source of lock-ons.
If it happens a lot the pilot might get impatient and start taking bigger risks. All that said, to quote one of the better pilot streamers out there "Nightbird has only been OP since the beta"
