@UP_Hawxxeye I think that would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that air vehicles are also alerted when a missile is incoming. Only a n00b pilot will pop flares as soon as they hear lock on, and they aren't the real threat - it's the experienced, skilled pilots who wait for the missile incoming warning before popping flares, so not really a valid tactic for them.

As an experienced pilot I can say that it adds the amount of things one has to keep track of. It gets exponentially scarier if it is not just a single source of lock-ons.
If it happens a lot the pilot might get impatient and start taking bigger risks.
All that said, to quote one of the better pilot streamers out there "Nightbird has only been OP since the beta"
