Unfair crossplay in BF2042

If you do not wish to play Cross-play with PC, you can turn cross-play off.

Naturally PC players will have an advantage when it comes to aim, however, with aim assist on console it puts you at an equal advantage with the average PC Player. Of course there will always be the top percent (both PC and Console) that are far better than the average player and therefore tend to be at the top of the scoreboard.

I'm not happy with the crossplay arrangement either, but you do have a option. Assuming you have the digital version you can download and play the last gen version.  You'll only be paired with others running the XB1/PS4 version.

Drawbacks:

20Hz servers

Slightly worse graphics

64p servers only

Dumber teammates

Pros:

Console only crossplay

64p servers only

Personally I bounce between the PS4 and PS5 version.  When I get annoyed with one version I'll go play the other for a few days. My ideal would be a next gen console only crossplay option.

Where did you meet so good players ? i play on Series S with cross play enabled and still dominate the ''PC players''.

PS : I play Battlefield religiously so maybe thats why i feel balanced matches with crossplay enabled.

This is my experience as well.

There's really no use complaining about this any more--but I will continue to do it also--DICE appears to be totally tone deaf when it comes to console vs. PC.

It's not unexpected to me that some console players will dominate many PC players because of their skill but that does nothing for me and a large part of the console audience that has complained until we were blue in the face.

"Dumbing down" my PS5 to play the PS4 version really isn't a solution for me.

Yes, you can turn crossplay off and find matches faster now, but it definitely takes longer to find matches, for me any way. At least when I turn off crossplay, I find fewer players hopping around, spinning and shooting me with 100% accuracy. With crossplay on, some of these acrobatic m&k guys are very comfortably using CoD battle tactics while playing 2042. I previously felt a slower game pace in Battlefield games, but not any more. not while competing with PC players.

It's just a "live and learn" situation for me. I'll know better next time. 

Man, I hope you're a little more knowledgeable now about the incredible advantage pc players have with average k/d ratios and accuracy at play.

Maybe not, it's like trying to get an ideologue to admit the sky is blue instead of argue.

I play on both PC and PS5, My KD on my high end PC 2.85 and PS5 3.4KD using controller on both. On PC up to 50% no hit registration and on my PS5 account I get more aim assist with not usually any lag.

best way to prove the unfair crossplay is to record top squad for the next 100 matches. top squad is over 80 percent. dice knows this and they wont do anything about it. yes we can turn crossplay off but it needs to be dice turning it off for everyone at 1 time...and give people the option to turn it on. If you turn off crossplay you wont ever get into a server cause its hit and miss everyone turning crossplay off.
