Unlock Attachments in vs. Bots Mode (PC)?

Question

I've mainly been playing in vs. bots mode (and am really impressed with it!) and while I've unlocked some of the weapons and attachments, some of the kills I'm making don't seem to be registering as part of the relevant challenges to unlock the items. Is there a cap on how much can be unlocked in this mode, or is it some kind of error? I just unlocked a new gun a few hours ago and even though I've racked up quite a substantial number of kills I've not noticed any progress towards any attachments.

They put a cap in place to counter Exp farmers against bots. which is good since they are too easy too kill and require no skill.
