This for sure; what a great game it could've been if they released it when it was finished...
and all the players that'd jump over, all the old content we could play in portal together.
They could have doubled sales, not needed refunds, and had raving reviews if they released what we wanted in a complete state.
And what we wanted? It has never been complicated; we wanted battlefield, that game with scoreboards, teamwork, squad work, where you get thrown into gritty close quaters battling desperately for objectives.
BF2042 is more like, you look around for something to kill, run for miles, then get shot from the sky by someone parachuting and start the run all over again.
It's a zerg-fest because objectives are so scattered that individuals die en-route, and everyone's forced to bunch up and attack the same objective together...
Discarded's giant ships are nearly big enough to be a map themselves, with all the levels.
I'm extremely doubtful they'll ever use portal properly; it's like an official tweaked gamemode released weekly, instead of actually letting us get creative, since we need AI / XP ....
