I actually think BF2 had the best class system.
The roles were clearly defined and very effective in their respective class.

@Ironhead841 I agree but let's be honest, most Battlefield players never played BF2 and don't realize we had 6 man squads, a fighting commander with radar stations and 7 classes. BF3 was a consolidation of some of BF2's classes and worked rather well for the average BF player.

Are you implying I am some kind of old fart? Cause that kinda stings, lol.
Anyone who hasn't played BF2 REALLY missed out.

A stingy fart is never a good thing right. 😁

IMO BF went downhill after 2142. Nothing can compare to BF2 and 2142. The rush of going behind enemy lines to destroy the commander's assets was awesome. And then waiting for the enemy commander to drop a supply crate to repair their assets only for you to resupply yourself with C4 to destroy them again. Fun times. If only they would bring it to Portal.

Yep, got to agree with that, I probably sunk more time into BF2 and BF2142 each than any BF game since.

So? Let's bring back the Battlefield 2 class system then! What's wrong with that?
