I understand your situation and desire, but it is not anything that you can do by 'self-service' anywhere.

So depending on the platform on which you did your original purchase, you will need to contact your trading partner there, to ask if you for an additional amount can be granted a more expensive license instead. In the past I have done it with SONY's support, where they then asked me to buy first a PSN giftcard online to add the value to my account.  And then via email they sent the request for me to confirm back to them on the purchase of the more expensive license.  This was with the local country support office of Sony PSN I did this and it was with a Sony owned game pack.  So dont know how it works with an EA game, as the purchase on aka PlayStation is indeed going through your PSN account and the money is taken from your PSN account also.  So it would be the first place that I would go if I was you.

That can then be a bit challenging, though think your best option is then to contact EA's live chat support.

Go to http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/
Select a game or product and select your platform (aka PC)
Select then a relevant Topic from the options.

OBS:  Some topics do not support the option for "Live Chat", but if you select "Account Management" then I know that the option for "Live Chat" will be available to you!
