Veteran Battlefield in 2042

For many years, the Battlefield series has had a special reward for players who are veterans of the series. I had “Veteran Battlefield” tokens (Dog tag) in BF4, BF Hardline, BF1, BF5.
It is quite possible to enter a Token (Dog tag) and a profile card.
And I, like other veterans, would be pleased to have something similar in 2042 - as a badge of honor. I am sure that many will support me with this idea.

@ATFGunr  The cards you are talking about are dedicated to the anniversary of the Battlefield series.
And I'm talking about a special reward that was previously given out from game to game. And in this episode 2042, they apparently forgot about her.
As an option, you can make a set of veteran awards - depending on the number of games in the series.

I know what you’re referring to, I’ve also played since 1942. Had it on both PC and MAC when Aspyr ported it over. I know they offered veteran tags and such in past games. The only BF game I didn’t buy was Hardline, which wasn’t BF IMO. Played the beta and sat that one out. I’m only pointing that out as it seems important to you. 2042 wasn’t much of a BF game on release, I got fooled same as everyone else. The changes over the last 2 years have been welcome. My point was that if you want some kind of nostalgic feeling, there are cards you can equip. What you are asking is for something you can view as a flex, as a brag. I don’t see the need for that. I know I played those games and I know I enjoyed the heck out of ‘em, and that’s enough for me. The players that would care would also have that card too and those that don’t wouldn’t recognize it for what it is. The anniversary cards are pretty good really, you can show your love and dedication easily with those. Exclusivity breeds individuality and BF is a team game (even if most don’t play it like that) That leads to the topic of how 2042 blew that idea up but it gets off the original topic and has had multiple threads already.

@sx007-ivanThere should be more avatars and badges. dot. Text and images don't take up much space, so you should have more of them.

More importantly, these give people a sense of purpose. A reason to play, a motive.

I agree they were nice to have, I'm not sure they gave a purpose to play. Would be nice to have one though.

  • One of the things I found EA and Dice did to disrespect veterans was to release a game so phony as 2042. It's bad enough veterans get shafted by the governments already.

Honestly, I really like that idea, I always enjoyed having a dogtag or whatever that showed you're a 4/5/6/7-game veteran with the game associated with your EA account or whatever. It actually got me to dig out my old games and get the license keys imported into Origin back in the day so that BF3 had a couple more tags.
