Just look at Halo. Why would it think about the issue and you guys are just ignoring such a serious problem?
I know that cross play is a trend but there would still be lots of ways to make console players play with PC players as fair as possible.WE DONT NEED A COMPLETELY CROSS-PLAY.

I got my Xbox 360 twelve years ago just because of Battlefield: Bad Company 1.
It's commom sense that keyboard and mouse has a advantage against controller most of the time even if we forget that pc players has higher res and higher frames per second on most cases.
Just want the game to be a little fair and the way things are on Battlefield 2042 at the moment they don't. This is a dealbreaker for me and I know that for many others too (even PC players that don't like to compete agaist controllers with aim assist either).

I don't want to use a k/m, I'm not good with one and I don't want to be. I don't have money to invest in a PC either.

Sure! But I just want to play with my friends after a day (or even a week) of work without being trashed by keyboard and mouse players on a server that has 80 to 90 percent keyboard and mouse players.
I play Battlefield with my friends for fun and not to be a pro.
Been a BF console player since 2009, every new BF game at day one, so I'm used to Battlefield messy releases. It's "okay" for me as a fan because I love the franchise and know that one time or another they'll fix most of the issues and for me the game is fun anyway. But compete against k/m is a dealbraker for me and I guess this will be the first Battlefield I'll skip since I started to play Battlefield. And even with the bugs and issues and the still unbalanced gameplay at some points, it makes me sad.
I respect who disagree but after so many years it looks like EA and DICE are obligating people play in a totally diferent way they are used to and pulling back people who are used to controllers and don't want to use a k/m to get something close to a fair game.
Input based matchmaking would be perfect to this game but it seems that they have other plans.
I also think that would be a really good solution for both sides. M&K players constantly complain about the aim assist and controller players complain about the superior accuracy of a mouse. Especially in a game like Battlefield 2042, where aim assist is pretty much non-existent. I have to say that I play controller on the PC and can tell immediately in BF2042, whether I lost to a mouse or a controller. There is no aim assist at range, while the mouse has now been improved as well. Since the 4.0 update, this difference is so noticeable and really unfair. I've tested it multiple times and there's no slowdown over enemies, even when they're close. One out of 20/30 gunfights the assist kicks in and that's when you realize what it could be like. Unfortunately, turning off crossplay doesn't work for me, because as I said, I'm on PC. It's such an uneven fight right now and I can't play it like that anymore. You definitely need to adjust the aim assist and input based matchmaking should be the standard in the future. Please do something there, it's not fun and pointless to play like that.

@lionking7001 one simple reason, I am ardently pro-cross play and input based matchmaking is the opposite of cross play since it segregates players. I'm curious, how you would implement input based matchmaking, I suspect you'd want console people playing with MKB to be matched with PC players, but what about PC players playing with a controller would you match them with console players, and if yes would you re-enable aim assist for PC controller that DICE recently removed? How do you solve the long standing issue of people on console using zim or cronus since when the system sees those input devices as controllers when they are really MKB? How does that course of action solve the MKB vs controller matchmaking issue satisfactorily when the root issue of unfairness is still present with cronus while reducing your matchmaking pool?
I see a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth about playing against keyboard users but no real solutions that wouldn't harm the game. With 2042 having record low player numbers for a Battlefield game at this point in its life, and people here on the forums frequently unable to find matches with cross play enabled at different times of the day cross play is probably the only reason the game was still semi alive before the last patch. The fact of the matter is that console players choose to leave cross play enabled because they don't have an issue playing with other platforms like some of the posters in this thread seem to have, and that is why Xbox only servers are a ghost town.
Regarding aim assist, it's still present on console so you should have aim assist in 2042 on Xbox. If you don't have aim assist 90% of the time submit a bug report in the bug report section.
@ragnarok013I would submit a post in the bug report if I actually believed that someone at Dice would read and react. For now I have stopped playing the game. That is also a good solution for better wellbeing

@lionking7001 the CMs report important issues to the studio weekly so they will see it.
So all PC players are "cheaters"?

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. I've played about 150-200 hours, my buddies that I squad with have played far more. None of us have ever seen a "cheater" in our matches. The worst we've seen is people getting glitched below the ground and shooting up. But it's not at all like how I've seen on older BF games or Call of Duty, etc that are just swamped with people wall hacking, aim botting, flying through the air and ending up 300-0 on the scoreboard.
