Weapon Mastery not progressing past 12 or Tier 3

Question

Hi, long time battlefield player, recently bought 2042 following purchase of Xbox x. One thing I have noticed is that weapon progression is limited to Tier 3, or Mastery 12 (not sure what the difference is) and this is consistent across all weapons. Now, I understand that this has something to do with AI, but quite literally, every server I look at has limited mastery on it. Now if every server I'm looking at has limited Mastery how is it that players such as myself are meant to level up and get tier 1 badges if it is simply not on offer....

I don't mind really if kills on AI were did not count, but my kills on actual player combatants are counting either which is immensely frustrating. If I'm doing something wrong I'd like to know what it is so I can correct it.

@DngrWombatI assume you are playing on Portal Servers where Mastery progression is indeed limited to Tier 3 / Mastery 12.You would need to play on the Official AOW servers or the Official Weekly Portal Experiences to gain full mastery progression.Hope this helps.

@DngrWombat  If you're using the AoW matchmaking from the main menu (E.G. selecting Conquest or Breakthrough [Not solo/coop]), that shouldn't be happening.Can you give a video example of that?

I don't understand, why they don't allow full mastery progression in all Portal matches.

Excellent thank you 🙂 I have tried to join Conquest matches, not through portal, and in a lot of cases I still end up getting added to to the same servers that have limited mastery.

@DngrWombatWatch out in portal, there are “official modes” that count towards all levels while anything made by players is capped to T3. Still a good way to unlock scopes and such. If you click on “Host” and look through all those modes, you went too far. None of those unofficial modes count past T3. What you want to look for is “full mastery”. A Hosted mode is also a way to complete weekly missions, but you have to read the small print, if it says “limited mastery”, it’s capped but you can still get weeklies. Its overly complicated IMO.
