Weapon spread ruined ARs

Dice adding weapon spread to an already bugged game was a bad move. ARs already had weapon spread/bloom at beginning of the game and it was a disaster

If Dice is supporting this game they need to seriously look into the fixing all the issues not causing more

Remove the spread. Focus on fixing the plethora of bugs and issues

Whereas I agree with some of your answers, I believe bullet spread is even more frustrating than recoil, at least you can get used to recoil. Spread just leaves new players even more confused/frustrated.

@battlejokeI think it would help if you mentioned what weapons you're noticing spread being bad on.

The Vault AR's seem to be fine in my experience.

I have reverted to using the M416 which is working well whereas my AC-42 was virtually unplayable.
  • You need both, recoil and spread to balance weapons. No spread means you get beamed over ridiculously large distances by all players that can control recoil -- as well as by console players that have less recoil to begin with and have also 'help' with that part by using aim assist.

Spread should not be there from the time you fire your first shot but it should increase gradually and spread has to reset once you stop firing. If implemented correctly, this makes firing a more skillful thing as you have to do both, control recoil as well as burst with intervals determined by the distance to the target (and your weapon as well as attachments that affect recoil used).

Post patch you have still many AR that work very well. I am now running SCAR-H and getting killed a lot by RM68, so this one is still good (not overpowered as before though).

And until they get nerfed you can still use LMGS as substitute for ARs (just with a much higher bullet count -- well, and longer reload, if you live that long).

@ForumUser Good players would still beam you from a considerable distance, even if you add gradual spread increase and recoil. The only way to combat good players who are beaming others is BF5 method and we all know how well that went.

I'm running full accuracy/recoil build in AK-24 and beaming people within 100 meters with no issues. So what now, nerf AK-24 a 3rd time?

@GrizzGolf BCG short grip, 40 round mag and I usually run with wrapped suppressor or tactical compensator. But you can play around with barrel attachments. Before that, I ran with the default barrel and it worked out well for me.
