Personally I think a more modern battlelog system seems like ppl are ready for it more than ever. Commander mode was far ahead of its time, so much that ppl weren't even sure how to use it or could even afford compatible devices to do so. Today the most basic handheld device could be used with ease. The feature on battlelog where you could compete for that number one place wherever you were located was awesome as well! I lived in El Paso, TX for a few years and I made it an effort to be #1 in the city! Eventually at some point I had the #1 spot in Texas. I still can't believe the hours I use to put into this game. Those small features made me play the game that much more. Lets not include the addictive game play with a good squad beside you.
We just want modern simplicity and I think a good integration of certain IoT devices, handheld devices and even VR headsets would be amazing features for the BF franchise. I do understand balance is everything, but maybe everything doesn't need to be full multiplayer in the early stages. COOP or maybe interactive VR streaming would be awesome!
I personally just miss the glory days of BF4, but I do understand times change. The game was just so far ahead of it's time with such detail. LMGs had cones of fire! I mean come on man in a video game?! That was a very cool overlooked feature. There were all kind of small things like this. There are the cool, unique things we want to see in 2042\PORTAL. Consult military professionals, VETERANS and develop small tactical game modes. Immersion focused game modes VS other players. If that's not the direction for the BF franchise maybe consider putting RESPAWN on a new MOH!!!!! I know for a fact they would absolutely kill an authentic MOH game themed in the Afghanistan setting....That no one has still done other than insurgency.
